PROGRESS
I started my career at FIU Police as a dispatcher. My goal was to learn everything I could about the workflow of a police department while obtaining my degree in Informationg Technology. I believe my experience working with police systems and understanding the importance of systems being operational has given me an advantage when handling situations on the other end of the table.
I was hired as an I.T. Generalist, making me a LASO, I.T. Admin, and in charge of a multitude of systems over night. The first 6 months of my journey was spent learning and catching up with the exisitng I.T. Manager.
As I continue to grow and learn, I expect myself to apply these teachings to my work. My goal is to leave FIU Police in a better spot technology wise, than when I started this role.
